Participate in our congress on Education and discover new practices for the 21st-century school. ENGLISH
At the II International Congress on Research in Educational Practices, we bring together professionals and academics to discuss relevant topics in education, promoting innovation and inclusion.
The João de Deus Higher School of Education is a space for reflection and dialogue on contemporary educational practices.
The João de Deus Higher School of Education (ESEJD), owned by the João de Deus Association of Kindergarten Schools (AJEJD), founded in 1882, resulted from the reconversion of the Pre-Primary Didactics Course using the João de Deus Method, created in 1920 by the educator João de Deus Ramos, son of the poet João de Deus. The institution was the first and, for many years, the only place to train Early Childhood Educators in Portugal.
The congress aims to promote reflection on the challenges of education in the 21st century, focusing on emotional intelligence, innovation, inclusion, and sustainability in the formation of global citizens.
The congress is open to researchers, teachers, students and education professionals, offering a space for sharing and interdisciplinary dialogue.
The themes include Innovation and Technology in Education, Pedagogical Practices and Active Methodologies, Inclusion and Diversity, Teacher Training and Professional Development, and Education and Sustainability.
The 2nd International Congress on Research in Educational Practices will take place on April 16th and 17th, 2026, at the João de Deus de Belas Kindergarten, in Belas, Lisbon.
